Hatched from dissatisfaction with style boundaries, resident bad boys GUYNO, FERRIS, HANS-DC and OBLIVEUS are starting a monthly night that refuses to be labelled. Call it what you will: breaks, house, hiphop, electro, dancehall, funk; we call it FUN! DonÂ’t come because weÂ’re the new DJÂ’s on the block; weÂ’re not. DonÂ’t come because we play the latest fad, marketing style of new dance music; we donÂ’t. What we do is play to the room and we do it well. With more nights under our collective belts than Shane Warne and his mobile phone, you just know everything will remain under control or lack thereof depending on your make and model.
Along for this ride of a lifetime is our new, yet old, home: Brown Alley. Forget all that you may know or don’t know about this place; here’s the facts. They’ve gone and purchased a brand new, kick butt sound system and new, visually stimulating gear to go with it. They’ve also gone and spent a big roll of cash to acquire new furnishings to make the place more inviting earlier in the night. Add to that a room full of creative d飯r and digital action visuals and what you get is a new reason to go nuts.
So letÂ’s take it back to when punters went out to a party without having to classify what genre was on display to all their mates. At the end of the day, itÂ’s either good or is itÂ’s not. Style tags will remain in the closet as long as weÂ’re around, so come check it out.
