Well I don't personally like to throw more oil onto the fire, and I hope this comment isn't an inditement on how I think generally; but being brainless is what corporations expect at some level.

[think about the Macca's "make up your own mind" campaign]

It's the degree to which our perceptions are changed that we don't realise we are internally being messed with. At a subconscious level.

It's the stupid decisions that people make in order to align expectations of what looks good and what looks bad. Perception is a massive subjective thing people and corporates can play with. It's an open-ended book.

It's what 'Cool Hunting' is all about. How to implement responsive action from the perception of what is considered better than the norm [even in societal terms].

Deception plays a big part in our lives. We either see it for what it is and make choices regarding it, or it is so hidden from us that subconsciously we are changed without even knowing it; thus ultimately changing our reasonable judgements.

When we talk about being brainless, I believe it to be on both sides of the fence of reason. People who know they've been deceived and yet go with the flow, and others who at a true level fully don't comprohend how prevelant something may be. This I believe, is where most of society is at right now. Not understanding the prevelance of deception.

I don't think anybody is a stupid person; or we are being stupid for having created or witnessed a vision of perfection, whether it be in a magazine, a statue, a painting or a mathematical equation. We just also need to understand that with time, things change, and perfection changes.

It's been a struggle since time that perfection was seen as something modelled and not something grown. We're all born the same. People just want to chip away at the rock to reveal the diamond. The truth is that the diamond is always there, it's been within us always -- every single entity is very unique. We cannot conform to any norms.. Nothing needs to be visible in order to be loved or accepted.

But ultimately all I'm saying with this is that peoples beliefs, perceptions and values can be easily messed with when deception plays such a huge part in the human psyche. Everyone does it, we just don't acknoweldge to what breadth of affect it rules you and how you model your life and expectations.
