RE: Stolen Nikon D300 Camera

Hi Guys,

I am hoping some of you DSLR uses out there may be able to assist me.

I need your help if at all possible. Please see below:

ALERT: My Nikon D300 Camera (Serial No: 6053503) and 18 - 70 Nikon Lens were stolen last Saturday night (10/10/09) from a bar in Melbourne city. If any of you now knows someone with this camera or is offered this camera, or you see it for sale in a shop, Ebay, Trading Post etc please let me know asap on 0412 222 037.

Please pass this around to your network of friends who may be interested in photography, cameras or work in any shops that may sell/purchase 2nd Hand Items..

Thanks Dan and Liz, I am devastated to say the least.

Took me so long to save for it and am not insured so just can't afford another camera at the moment.

Ah, thats so shit man! Some real losers out there ey?
I leave my shit everywhere when im out and about, and never really think twice about who could take it - spose iv been lucky. Stuff like this makes you realise how shit people can be. Sorry to hear about it mate, really hope you can track it down. Have passed the msg on and will keep an eye out for you.
Just out of curiosity, what bar was it stolen from?

Hi it was stolen from Phoenix bar but the staff, owners and security were awesome and I think it's nothing to do with the bar but the shit opportunistic attitude of some people.

I think I actually saw the dude that stole it but he was gone when I realized it was missing.

I will be checking CCTV footage tommorrow.

The biggest shit for me is that I'm going to India soon to shoot some stories but now can't afford to buy another camera.

hoping to pick up a few extra gigs and try to sell some of my images between now and then to raise some money for another camera.
