we're a little bit behind the times out here in the desert, but that is great news about the brewery Fents, Tara will be stoked your beer will be easier for her to find and drink!

Good on you for writing that letter too Cal. And for all of y'all doing well on the work front. I'm loving being an unemployed student, but soooo behind on my reading and writing for the course.

BU's to Mrs Laing who is going to Beirut for the weekend leaving me and the brat to spend some quality time together!
Back from the desert to stir things up a little :)

Bigups to music. Seriously i cant remember a time when it was more entralling and diverse for me. Drum and bass is exciting for the first time in years and im listening to everything from sigur ros to greg laswell to the donnas and the lawrence arms. Its satisfying and makes me believe that everything will be ok for the first time in a long time.

O Hai Jamesss and O Hai Mecka :smt006

I'm going away this weekend but am back next week and would like to hang.

Big ups to geochemical models that work, the slow death of the ironic moustache and this fish that looks like Mick Jagger discovering that Keith Richards snorted all the coke...

no way mecka, i had one of them yesterday, was driving, full sun shining and crazy sun shower, wound down the car window and let it rain and sun on me just as a song about sunshine started to play.
Then giant thick rainbow shot up out of the grey sky, across the horizon.

:)

Bigups to a great weekend over here!

Thats a dman fine effort cause the manufacturers have pulled a lot of support for non- Factory teams. I think Ford only helps Stone Bros and FPR these days.

BU John Hegley. HIs poems have been making my day. Like this one;

Amoeba

hello amoeba I wish you were my pet
but you're not really big enough to be seen by the vet
are you?
you're a little blob of jelly
you've got no skin and bone
you're not a boy you're not a girl
and you're not on the telephone

I cannot get in touch with you
I cannot pull your leg
you look a bit like a fried egg
you're a long way down the ladder
that evolution trod
but you can eat with your feet
or to be more discreet
obtain food with your pseudopod
and you don't have to have a partner
to start a family
you can multiply by dividing
tra-la-la-la-lee
you don't get up in the morning
because you never go to bed
you've not got any genitalia
but you've got other bits instead
I saw you down the microscope
when I was just a lad
I told my mum about you
and then I told my dog
you're not heterosexual bisexual
transvestite transsexual
lesbian or gay
but you seem to do okay
it isn't rude to be an amoeba
in the nude
is it eh?
you're not so simple
you little protoplasmic pimple
