well, last sunday was an absolute monster, with big ups to Obliveus who got the dancefloor moving then Lindemon rocking all 400 peeps in the lounge till midnight before I took over and kept em on the dancefloor till 3am!

finally nice to see peeps digging the funk big time, had so many peeps asking the name of songs, when the night runs, what time it starts etc etc.

blew my mind to see that peeps were into it and up for a dance big time!

Stripes are the new male g-strings. Lindsay got us all into them. Even though he wears hemp stripes, we all have a go.

after 2 months of funky shenanigans by some of Melbourne's finest funk and soul djs and collectors, Obliveus, John Idem, Manchild, Wax Vandal, Mexi, Mr Lob, Lindemon, Nathan and Mark Anthony, Car Boot Funk bids you farewell with a '45 Challenge' featuring some of Melbs finest selectors and collectors on Sun Nov 2.

The '45 Challenge' will be featuring the vinyl only dj and selection skills of Manchild (PBS), Miss Goldie (PBS), Mr Moonshine and Mr Lob. Expect nothing but original vinyl masters and soul blasters straight from 45's. This will bump big time as the djs spin classic breaks, soulful goodness and funky dance floor grooves. This one is for the collectors, breakers, funk diggers and hip shaking figures.

If you ever thought about coming down, this will be the night to do it.

I only went twice, but it seemed pretty full both times, and from the photos that seemed the norm, and I can only imagine it getting better once summer gets underway!


PS: I was in Adelaide this last weekend, otherwise would have definitely been there!
